ABSTRACT

High grade glioma is a kind of malignant brain tumor with strong invasiveness,which progresses commonly after initial treatments and shows high mortality.Early diagnosis of tumor recurrence and highly-individualized systemic treatment mean significance to prolong survival.Multi-mode magnetic resonance imaging and molecular imaging play important roles in differential diagnosis and prognosis evaluation for recurrence.Therapeutic strategies like re-operation,re-irradiation,electric field technology,chemotherapy,targeted therapies and immunotherapeutic approaches are expected to bring survival benefits for patients with recurrent high grade glioma.

0.05).The side-effect in DDP group was more severe than in CMNa + RT group.Conclusion:There is no significant difference in radiosensitivity in two groups,but CMNa + RT regimen was more tolerable than DDP+ RT regimen.The long term effect needs further study.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of inhibiting c-raf-1 by antisense technology on radiosensitivity in human cervical carcinoma cell line HeLa.Methods:There were four groups in the study:control group,lipofectin group,sense oligodexynucleotides(S-ODN) group,antisense oligodexynucleotides(AS-ODN) group.The expression of c-raf-1 was detected by means of RT-PCR,Cellular response to irradiation was evaluated by the colony forming test,Apoptosis was observed by fluorescent staining.Bcl-2 protein expression was determined by flow cytometry.Results:AS-ODN group could significantly decreased the proliferation rate and increasing the apoptosis rate,significantly downregulating the expression of Bcl-2 of irradiated human cervical carcinoma cells,(vs lipofectin group or S-ODN group,P

ABSTRACT

Objective; To evaluated the effects and toxicity of Taxol + radiotherapy( RT) regimen and Taxol + CBP regimen for the old patients of advanced non - small cell lung cancer. Methods: 51 old patients of advanced non - small cell lung cancer were randomized into two groups. There are 25 cases in Taxol + CBP group, administrated with Taxol 135mg/m2 ,d1, CBP AUC5 ,d2. The regimen was repeated every 21 days. There are 26 cases in Taxol + RT group, administrated with Taxol 135mg/m2 ,dl ,d30, radiotherapy started on second day, DT65 -70Gy. Results; The total effective rate and clinical benefit response(CBR) in Taxol + RT group were much higher than Taxol + CBP group. 1 - year,2 - year survival rate of Taxol + CBP group were 49. 8% ,21. 7% .while 52. 3% ,23.2% in Taxol + RT group respectively. ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the inhibition effects of c erbB 2 and c raf 1 antisense oligodeoxynucleotides (ASODN) combined transfection on the human ovarian epithelial cancer transplanted subcutaneously in nude mice Methods There were 7 groups: normal control group,c erbB 2 sense observed group,c raf 1 sense observed group,c erbB 2 antisense observed group,c raf 1 antisense observed group,whole dose combined group,half dose combined group Human ovarian epithelial cancer cells SKOV3 were treated by different oligodeoxynucleotides,then transplanted subcutaneously in nude mice,respectively The changes of tumor volume were observed and the tumor growth inhibitory rate was calculated Results There was no difference between sense observed group and normal control group There was a larger growth inhibitory rate in whole dose combined group and half dose combined group,the first time that can be detected was 13 7 days and 15 2 days,and the maximum tumor growth inhibitory rates were 61 1% and 71 3%,respectively Conclusions The results suggested that ASODN combined transfection can inhibit the tumorigenesis of ovarian epithelial cancer cells in nude mice,it may be a more useful gene therapy for the ovarian epithelial carcinoma

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of lipofectin-c-erbB2 antisense oligodexynucleotides on radiosensitivity of human ovarian cancer cell line.Methods:The expression of c-erbB2 was detected by means of RT-PCR;cellular response to irradiation was evaluated by MTT test and the colony forming assay.Results:Lipofectin-c-erbB2 antisense oligodexynucleotides(AS-ODN) could suppress the expression of c-erbB2,and significantly decreased the survival fraction and colony forming rate of human ovarian cancer cells after ionizing irradiation( P 0.05).Conclusion:c-erbB2 antisense oligodexynucleotides sensitize the SKOV3 to ionizing irradiation through decreasing the expression of c-erbB2,which might be the result of the fact that c-erbB2 antisense oligodexynucleotides inhibit the cellular signal transduction pathway relating to the radiation-resistant phenotype.
